Things To Do on the uniquely beautiful West Coast
Diverse in its beauty the West Coast of South Africa offers many interesting activities of which surfing in Elands Bay (Elandsbaai) is definitely top of any surfers list.
This area of the West Coast in particular is rich in ancient San Rock Art, birdlife on the Verlorenvlei estuary and whale watching in season.
What a fantastic two nights we had at Vensterklip, Elands Bay. We stayed in Scotts Honeymoon Suite and it was just heaven on earth. At one time my husband sat on the stoep and just starters singing all Vera Lynn’s old music - was such a restful, peaceful and unforgettable two days. The hostess, food, detail, interior and staff were 5 star! Really do hope we would be going in that direction again to experience Vensterklip!
I thoroughly enjoyed camping at one of the private campsites with own ablution and built-in braai/kitchen area.
Good homemade food at the restaurant and the padstal has meat, wood, etc.
The hike to Vensterklip is also recommended on a clear day...the views are brilliant.
I just want to thank Debora, Meagan and Jennifer for making us feel at home for the whole weekend.
We ended up using the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we were pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and hospitality given to us by all the staff at the venue.
Linda and Jane - thank you for an awesome experience, you will definitely see us again soon!
Even our doggies want to come visit again 😉
My wife and I stopped by the restaurant following a visit to the nearby Verlorenvlei and, boy, were we glad we did! We opted for the mussel with the cream sauce and home-made bread for starters and the calamari for mains- both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Meagan, our hostess, was very gracious and took time to explain to us all the surroundings areas had to offer. We also liked the old-timey vibe and vintage decor of the place. One to check out if you're ever in the area.
A charming place to stay. Incredible attention to detail and a well equipped self catering set up. We loved exploring the gardens and the farm stall. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Will be back.
Private camping ,the camping area was clean and neat with private facilities . The farm is close to amenities and Elands Bay and surroundings , the Rooi Stoor on the premises is quite unique and easy access to supplies
